The first Exciton Solar + Design Summer School, hosted by the ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science and UNSW Sydney, was held at UNSW Sydney and Coogee Beach over five days from 14-18 January 2019.
This School, aimed at both scientists and designers, included both lectures and hands on work. In attendance were 20 students from across five NSW and Victorian universities. The workshop was led by researchers from the ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science, the School of Photovoltaics and Renewable Energy Engineering at UNSW and experts in the Design of Sustainable Energy Systems Topics covered at this summer school included:
Not only did the students get to learn about the different variants in solar cell technology but, most importantly they also had the opportunity to develop new connections and meet potential collaborators.
